Financial Specialist - O2C

Job merken

Proper handling of customer queries as well as on time response to incoming requests. Ensure service level agreements on timeliness and accuracy of postings are met / exceeded. Continuously find ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness by suggesting and implementing process improvements and best practices.

Tasks

 - Accurate and timely maintenance of customer and vendor data
- Issuance of Intercompany and Adhoc Billing
- Timely bank reconciliation and clearing of incoming payments
- Proper and timely posting/clearing of customer payments against remittance details
- Analysis and timely disposition of outstanding receipts posted as ""On Account"" to customer subledger and consistent follow up with Local counterpart for missing remittance details
- Manages all order requests from creating of Customer contract, sales orders, delivery note and generates billing/invoice
- Provides support to team members for any query or issue related to their process.

Qualifications and Requirements

 - Graduate of  Finance or Business related bachelor's degree.
- Typically 3-4 years of professional experience especially in the field of order to cash processes.
- Team player, hardworker, and pleasing personality.
- Detail Oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
- Preferably one or more years of work experience in a BPO/SSC set-up
- Must be knowledeable in MS Office and SAP
- Can work independently or under minimal supervision

Technical Skills

Intermmediate MS Office (Pivot, VLookup, CountIFs, etc.)
SAP User (1-2yrs)

Attention to detail
1. Describe something you’ve done that underscores your commitment to being attentive to detail in an environment where safety is an unusually sensitive consideration. (Did the candidate dutifully monitor all potentially troublesome aspects of the environment, and address anything that seemed imperfect? Was there a casual awareness of potential trouble spots, and reliance on subsequent quick reactions rather than prevention?)
2. When have you found it necessary to use detailed instructions/procedures to increase accuracy? Be specific. (Did the candidate use the instructions/procedures as a matter of professional commitment to ensure that a job was done correctly? Was there rejection/avoidance of instructions/procedures?)
3. How have you gone about ensuring accuracy and consistency in a document or data you were preparing? Tell me about a specific case in which your attention to detail paid off. (Did the candidate take clear precautions such as proofing thoroughly, double-checking, verifying format consistency, etc.? Was there only a cursory spot check?)

Commitment to task
1. Describe a difficult situation in which you took full responsibility for actions and outcomes. How did you act on this? (Did the candidate publicly claim responsibility, and then carefully manage the situation to success, possibly one involving other parties with divergent goals? Was there allowance of others to accept blame, and little effort to resolve a difficult situation?)
2. Some people can be counted on to go the extra mile when their organization really needs it. Describe a time when you demonstrated dependability in trying circumstances. (Did the candidate work long hours or perform unusual job duties to help the organization get through a personnel shortage, unusual time demands, etc.? Was there minimal extra effort, consistent with the notion that it was the company’s problem?)
3. Give me an example of a time when you demonstrated a sense of urgency about getting results. (Did the candidate take immediate action directed toward an objective, so that non-task activities were given low priority while productivity was of prime importance? Was there little emphasis on efficiency?)

1. Ensuring customer-focused behavior in a work group may require more than just lip service; it sometimes requires more formalized education or recognition programs. Describe a time when you embarked on such an endeavor. (Did the candidate create/implement a carefully designed training/recognition, etc., program aimed at enabling and rewarding effective customer-focused behavior? Was there only repetition of cliches about the value of customers?)
2. In our environment, no two customers are alike and no two service deliveries are alike. Describe something you’ve done that shows your commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction, regardless of the service you’re providing. (Did the candidate make sure to understand the customer’s needs, thoroughly meet or exceed these, and verify that the customer was satisfied? Was there routine performance of a service, without consideration for the customer’s special needs, and without assessing the customer’s level of satisfaction?)
3. How we deal with service failures can have significant impact on customer retention and loyalty. Describe a great success you had with turning a service failure around. (Did the candidate accept responsibility, minimize damage, and please the customer through the resolution and pursuit of improvement, possibly resulting in a stronger relationship? Was there a minimally acceptable resolution, blame/defensiveness, and no plan for improvement?)

1. Tell me about a situation in which you aggressively capitalized on an opportunity and converted something ordinary into something special. (Did the candidate put a unique twist on a routine situation to yield positive results? Was there an accomplishment of little magnitude or that should have been expected of anyone in that situation?)
2. Describe a time when you voluntarily undertook a special project above and beyond your normal responsibilities.( Did the candidate volunteer for a task despite an already full workload and succeed without undue compromise to other responsibilities? Was there an insignificant addition, or sacrifice of other areas?)
3. Tell me about a time when you anticipated an opportunity or problem and were ready for it when it happened. (Did the candidate prepare an approach that would be ready to launch upon the event’s occurrence? Was there a slow trial-and-error response to the event, and resulting in only modest benefits?)

1. Describe a time when you chose to be honest, even though being quiet or agreeable may have been easier.  (Did the candidate voice an opinion in a productive way, so its impact was constructive rather than destructive? Was there painful bluntness, a misleading presentation, or exaggeration?)
2. Tell me about a time when you prevented unfair or inappropriate behavior by your peers. (Did the candidate stop another’s ongoing behavior via confrontation, reporting to authorities, etc.? Was there an unnecessarily long tolerance, or looking the other way?)
3. In the real but imperfect world, doing the “right” thing can sometimes result in our looking bad. When were you in this situation. (Did the candidate handle the situation in an ethical manner, even though awkward or damaging information might be shed as a result? Was there a compromised execution, with important information being omitted or misrepresented?)
