As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

 

The incumbent will assist in the support Supply function responsible for one or more of the following disciplines: Inventory Control, Planning, Processing, Scheduling, Materials Management, Buying and Approval. Incumbent may also be responsible for the procurement of various materials and supplies. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform analysis and reporting support to identify and reduce inventory, maintain master schedule for procured and manufactured products, tracking of the outbound customer delivery and distribution networks.
  • Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions.
  • Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for procurement of various materials and supplies
  • Inventory control management including receiving, shipping, warehousing and floor inventory activities
  • Responsible for the Supply Chain accuracy in various systems, IFS and Agile, including system maintenance
  • Report and provide corrective actions on variances both to the plants and corporate
  • Maintain the proper channel of communication with the plants and/or 3rd party vendors.  
  • Interface with third party distribution centers to analyze and reconcile inventory balance variances.  Maintain reports to support ongoing reconciliation efforts.
  • Run queries and reports to identify and support the disposition of damaged product including warehouse damage, carrier returns, Return Quarantine and NCMR material.
  • Identify and disposition excess and obsolete material.  Support change implementation planning by proactively characterizing financial impact of changes to on hand and on order material.
  • Under general supervision may contribute to the management of inventory investment to meet corporate goals.
  • Developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Normally receives general work instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness.
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Builds productive working relationships.
  • Provides assistance to junior level staff with general tasks that require a better understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Refers to senior level staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

 

BS/BA in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Mgt. or Industrial Engineering

Comparable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years’ experience in field of inventory control, purchasing, scheduling, logistics or planning
  • Experience with MRP/ERP/WMS application software
  • Medical Device or diagnostics experience strongly preferred
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in PC applications such as Access, Excel, Word, Outlook
