As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to support Product Development and Quality Engineers.
  • Perform advanced non-reoccurring analysis and testing of NxStage products.
  • Troubleshoot product designs and recommend specific improvements.
  • Execute complex validation protocols and conduct a broad range of advanced functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
  • Record complex data and summarize; present results, draw conclusions, and make recommendations for value added improvements.
  • Perform advanced root cause and failure analysis as required.
  • Assemble complex NxStage products and/or equipment as required.
  • Conceptualize and develop test fixtures.
  • Assess complex customer returns to determine failure modes and identify root causes.
  • Investigate unique manufacturing problems and product complaints.
  • Review Device History Records and provide recommendations to support efficient product releases.
  • Provide creative ideas and recommendations to enhance Document Control processes.
  • May be required to track calibrations and/or quality system performance.
  • Inspect and test product components to ensure compliance to specifications and applicable standards.
  • Perform a broad range of audits and tests of products in accordance with test plans and procedures.
  • Debug and characterize complex product defects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of testing; report results. Recommend changes to test protocols, as appropriate.
  • Identify actual or potential problems in test procedures or company products. Make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Replicate and diagnose product failures.
  • May be required to administer or maintain software programs used by the team.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Trade school, ASE, technical training and/or technical certification; technical undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience supporting technical or engineering functions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes and controls.
  • 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on projects and meet required timelines.
  • 5+ experience in testing, calibration, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of moderately complex electro-mechanical and/or software devices.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical device-related development and V&V processes.
  • Demonstrated organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Previous experience teaming with multiple groups in an organization to resolve complex issues.
  • Positive and optimistic attitude.
  • Previous experience using common hand and power-assisted assembly tools.
  • Proven competency in a wide range of Computer applications.

Core Skills (for Electrical Technician IV):

  • orCad Capture, CIS & CIP component database maintenance and license administration.
  • Perform minor printed circuit board design changes (Allegro environment), as well as final database preparation and release.
  • Proficiency with Agile DCO/ECO process related to all forms of electrical design documentation.
  • Capable of performing surface mount component rework.

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.

Hourly Rate: $30 - $51
