As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Manages the implementation and support of projects to include: development of business processes, planning, and management of the project through implementation and post implementation stability. Recommends enhancements to current business processes to effectively integrate project requirements with existing and related business processes. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of Project Management, acts as a liaison between the business and internal and/or external resources as required for managing the project from concept, to implementation, and stabilization.
  • Coordinates the efforts of resources required to successfully implement project goals and objectives within the prescribed timeframe and budget.  When timeline and/or budget deviations are identified, implements appropriate actions to recover while keeping all stakeholders informed of the current status.
  • Assists in managing the creation of policies and procedures for the business.
  • Manages the stabilization of each implementation to include; planning, organizing, and resolving issues. 
  • Responsible for post implementation support.
  • Determines “best business practices” to meet the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Manages task schedules and issue status reports.
  • Supports the business in the development of system reports to manage and measure the business processes.
  • Validates and documents configuration, enhancements, and development.
  • May provide advice/guidance to other Project Managers, if applicable.
  • Implementation projects are deemed to be medium to large in size and complexity. Assigned projects generally focus on:
    • Manage and direct multi-location integration projects for business entities.
    • Manage and direct large-scale Business Process Project implementations.
    • Manage the implementation of new business process functionality.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.  
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
  • Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable.
  • Must attain PMI/PMP certification.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:       

  • 5 – 8 years of related experience as a Project Manager of large to very large scale projects; with a Master’s Degree 3 years of experience required.
  • Excellent presentation, expectation management and training skills, consistently meeting specific needs of various client groups, project teams, and target audiences.
  • Proficient in establishing working relationships with B&C levels of Management & Financial executives, Project Team members, End-users; and their various support teams.
  • Strong experience in aligning and identifying appropriate functional and technical skills and resources necessary to meet strategic goals and business objectives, within prescribed timelines and budget parameters.
  • Experienced in managing culturally diverse workforce and business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • The ability to work cross functionally in a matrix management environment.
  • Proficient PC skills with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management).
