As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

Operations & Performance

  • Hold full accountability for on-time order fulfillment, outbound shipment execution, inbound receiving accuracy, and inventory integrity across the North American network — whether operations are performed by third-party partners or company staff.
  • Define and enforce network-wide performance standards: fill rates, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock cycle time, and cost per unit shipped.
  • Lead network capacity planning, facility utilization strategies, and material handling equipment planning to support current volume and a three-year growth outlook.
  • Own the regional warehouse management system implementation and ongoing governance; serve as the business owner for system enhancements and process standardization across all sites.

Third-Party Logistics Governance

  • Negotiate, structure, and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers; design service level and performance metric frameworks and enforce them through regular business reviews.
  • Lead annual provider sourcing reviews and market benchmarking; make data-driven build, buy, or extend recommendations.
  • Build supply-chain-as-a-service capabilities within partner-operated facilities — embedding standardized processes, performance reporting, and continuous improvement practices into every site.
  • Manage provider onboarding and transitions with zero service disruption; hold providers accountable to corrective action plans when performance falls short.

Financial, Planning & Talent

  • Own the full regional distribution profit and loss: operating budget, third-party variable costs, capital investment, and lease obligations. Meet or exceed all financial targets; proactively flag and correct variances before period close.
  • Lead the annual strategy and operating plan for North American distribution; develop the three-year directional roadmap aligned to global distribution priorities.
  • Meet or exceed all program deadlines — warehouse management system go-lives, third-party transitions, contract renewals, and network optimization deliverables.
  • Lead the annual talent cycle for the distribution team: goal-setting, performance reviews, compensation planning, succession planning, and workforce planning aligned to the long-term network strategy.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain Program Office, Transportation, Demand Planning, Quality, Finance, and Information Technology on cross-functional initiatives and transformation programs.

Automation, Capital Projects & Industrial Engineering

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement warehouse automation technologies — robotic picking, automated storage and retrieval, conveyor systems, sortation, and goods-to-person solutions — based on volume, labor economics, and network strategy.
  • Own the capital project pipeline for North American distribution: author business cases, develop return on investment analysis, secure funding approval, and drive execution to cost and schedule.
  • Apply industrial engineering principles across the network — labor standards development, time and motion analysis, facility layout optimization, slotting strategy, and material flow design — to improve throughput and reduce cost.
  • Partner with real estate and facilities teams on site selection, lease negotiations, and new facility qualifications; lead distribution build-outs and major facility reconfigurations as capital projects.

Regulatory & Quality

  • Maintain full compliance with Food and Drug Administration pharmaceutical distribution regulations, Drug Enforcement Administration requirements, good distribution practices, and all applicable Department of Transportation and occupational safety standards across all partner-operated and company-managed facilities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 15 or more years of progressive supply chain and distribution operations experience, with clear growth from site-level to network-level leadership; minimum 7 years in a Director or senior management role with full profit and loss accountability across multiple facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large third-party logistics provider relationships — contract negotiation, performance governance, and transitions — in a regulated healthcare or life sciences environment.
  • Track record managing complex warehouse networks of 10 or more facilities, including outsourced and company-operated sites; pharmaceutical distribution experience (Food and Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Administration regulated) strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating and implementing warehouse automation technologies and owning capital projects from business case through execution.
  • Industrial engineering background or equivalent applied experience: labor standards, facility layout, material flow design, and slotting optimization in a distribution environment.
  • Warehouse management system implementation and stabilization experience required.
  • Strong financial acumen: budget ownership, variance analysis, capital planning, and return on investment modeling.
  • Direct, data-driven leadership style with the ability to hold third-party partners and internal teams to high standards; strong executive communication skills.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required; engineering discipline (industrial, mechanical, or systems) strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree (business administration, supply chain management, or equivalent) preferred.

“My goal is to make sure that our patients keep their mobility and quality of life. This goal is really personal for me. My own father always had really bad vasculature in his leg and never had access to the kind of care we offer — eventually he lost blood flow and mobility. Knowing what he went through makes me even more committed to our mission.”
