As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Product Commercialization Director, Clinical Marketing (multiFiltratePRO)

will support the Fresenius Critical Care AKI teams while being heavily focused on the multifiltratePRO platform and anticoagulation therapies.  Reporting directly to the VP of Product Commercialization, the individual will be responsible for serving as the clinical subject matter expert throughout cross functional teams to advance and streamline internal processes and generation of deliverables. They will be involved in a range of actions related to the development of the therapy and market, as well as traditional downstream marketing activities related to brand development, product launches, sales and marketing support, educational and sales content creation, and development of competitive strategies. Focus on clinical training and education will also be critical to the role.  They will be working cross-functionally to analyze the evidence landscape for the technology, define future evidence needs and participate in strategic planning. They will also play a key role in developing and growing thought-leader relationships and identifying engagement opportunities focused on anticoagulation therapy. Focus of role also encompasses ensuring that deliverables are of high quality and are provided in a manner to support the overall clinical and business objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the U.S. clinical subject matter expert for the multifiltratePRO platform and anticoagulation therapies (i.e., Calcium and Citrate delivery).
  • Collaborate as the clinical subject matter expert with cross functional teams (CC&V leadership, sales management, marketing, product development, training management, usability engineering) to ensure alignment of clinical content, messaging, strategic direction, and next generation device development.
  • In preparation for commercial launch, creates Ci-Ca awareness initiatives (talks, symposiums, protocol debates, webinars, etc.).
  • Lead in process improvement projects by driving program effectiveness, innovation and ensuring overall stakeholder satisfaction from a content and educational perspective.
  • Provide innovative solutions and deliverables to meet needs and ensure success of field-based teams and external stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers regarding market research and potential projects to complement the multifiltratePRO go-to-market strategy and product positioning.
  • Identify ongoing educational, project and content needs. Develop and manage the implementation of the identified projects and ongoing needs in partnership with key stakeholders.
    • Act as core clinical team lead to develop plans and programs that meet the changing needs and priorities of the business while partnering with cross functional teams.
    • Measure effectiveness of educational tools, resources, and programs.
    • Supports Clinical Consultants, Therapy Specialists, and ASMs.
    • Support hospitals in their clinical education needs.
  • Provide clinical expertise on all aspects of assigned product lines and projects including development, design validation, training, and marketing.
  • Effectively manage and summarize key messages of clinical data, competitive positioning, and industry news to support clinical and sales efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation to drive strategic direction of therapy/ product and effectively position against competition.
  • Review, identify and disseminate key sessions and information from pertinent literature or scientific programs/conferences to various knowledge levels and roles.
  • Support advisory boards and educational forums.
  • Foster relationships with key opinion leaders through voice of customer initiatives and collaborative external partnerships.
  • Develop, execute, track, and report on an External Engagement Program Strategic Plan created in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Maintain relevant clinical, business, and account knowledge in RRT space to best support field and internal teams.
  • Management of all labeling materials through document control processes.
  • Participation in trade shows with presentations, booth or suite presentations as needed.
  • Provide expertise to marketing, clinical and engineering product development, testing and device testing.
  • Creates communication, innovation, and go-to market strategies for brand that are seen as breakthrough and highly effective against target audiences.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of marketing deliverables.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60%.

EDUCATION:

  • B.S./B.A. in nursing or similar field 
  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred but not required.
  • Current RN Licensure required

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:  

  • Minimum 7 years of Critical Care experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Citrate anticoagulation therapy required
  • Experience in clinical marketing, healthcare commercialization, or medical devices preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
  • Solid understanding of hospital-based workflows and healthcare industry dynamics
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills
