Process Engineer

We continuously want to improve the quality of life for our dialysis patients, worldwide and every day. Our plant in Vrsac is mainly oriented to produce hemodialysis bloodlines systems. Apart that, in our plant we produce PD sets and perform injection molding, as part of manufacturing bloodlines systems. In this role, you will oversee the performance of the extrusion process in our plant in Serbia/Vrsac, which operates with a team of 1300 employees. The plant runs on a 7-day schedule, with four shifts daily. In this position you will report into the Director of the Production Department.

Your goal is to achieve company objectives by improvement and support of manufacturing and process development. Lead development of the production through efficient and effective employee management, organization, technology, planning, and controlling. Optimize work processes and implement lean six sigma methodologies, all while maintaining full compliance with regulations, laws, and Fresenius Medical Care corporate standards.

Tasks

• To be involved in the improvement and support of manufacturing and process development
• To design and develop new equipment and processes and troubleshooting it
• To document all the details of the process development and modifying it whenever any     new component or a system has been designed
• To create documentation for the prototypes which have been built and designed
• To make requisitions for the requirements of tools and other specific components
• To perform experiments, ensure its validity and operation by installing and running the extrusion equipment and process
• Monitoring the performance of the extrusion process and implementing tooling or process standards
• Taking corrective action and determines ways for process improvement by accurately analyzing and understanding the needs of the client
• Documenting all the extrusion runs and be updated with the current developments in the extrusion field
• Developing new process and tools in a time efficient manner to meet the given deadlines.
• Investigating causes of ongoing process, quality, production efficiency and high waste problems and developing solutions using problem solving techniques
• Oversee audits, inspections, and certification processes.
• Manage and oversee all budgets related to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Site Facilities, including Security.
• Initiating and documenting procedures to safely increase machine productivity and reducing waste while maintaining product quality per customer expectations
• Leading competence development in the field of extrusion through training and/or mentoring
• Demonstrating ability to work with others in a cross-functional organization, while working independently when needed to achieve desired results
• To assist in performing troubleshooting of the extrusion press as required.
• Maximizing the productivity of the line and controlling of the production line
• To perform investigation and resolve work-in-process problem
• To handle the tasks of recommending and implementing improvements and modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
• To be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the equipment
• To be responsible for their finished goods quality
• Accountable for the effective and timely implementation, monitoring, and closure of the assigned NC/CAPA activities in defined NC/CAPA tracking software system (Qtrak), in accordance with the valid Consolidated Quality Management System procedures.
• To define and set required process controls according to quality standards and company & plant targets, then put these controls in place in the production operation practices.
• To identify Risks & Issues in the production operation, to take possible quick actions for minor topics, to initiate projects & programs to implement long term solutions for major topics.;
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
