Senior Director, Communications Business Partner (m/f/d)

Reporting to the SVP Head of Global Communications, the Senior Director, Communications Business Partner for the MB member responsible of Legal, Compliance & Human Resources has to drive a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy supporting Fresenius Medical Care’s Legal, Compliance and HR business objectives, creating and maintaining the overall narrative for the newly created function. This role will ensure the execution of both internal and external communications objectives inclusive of content and presentation support in addition to providing advisory guidance to the Board Member responsible for Legal, Compliance & Human Resources.

The ideal candidate is a very experienced and Senior communications leader, who has worked in an integrated global corporate communications environment and has demonstrated experience in working closely with Senior stakeholders and strategic communications in a listed company. The candidate should be a purpose-driven storyteller and good writer who can leverage content across multiple channels capable of addressing multiple, complex facets of communication concurrently at a global scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of communications practices, trends, financial reporting and leading global teams.

Your assignment:

  • Create and execute a global communications strategy and plan for the Board Member responsible for Legal, Compliance & Human Resource functions, ensuring that business objectives are addressed, and content is delivered effectively across all necessary audiences
  • Deliver and manage positioning strategy for the Management Board Member
  • Develop and write appropriate content and ensure dissemination in various formats and channels
  • Write and coordinate AR and AGM related materials for Chairman of the Supervisor Board
  • Proactively partner directly with the BPs Communications for Legal, Compliance and HR to define and execute on communications plans that reflects FME business and strategic priorities
  • Direct functional editorial planning ensuring timely execution and implementation of communication requirements
  • Serves as communications advisor and provides executive communications support for leadership
  • Act as a content conduit between business expertise and intended audiences, capturing critical content requirements and partnering with CoEs to ensure timely and accurate execution
  • Drive employee engagement, leveraging multiple channels (including video, podcasts, campaigns) to reach a large, diverse, employee base
  • Creates and oversees channel communication effectiveness metrics and drives actionable changes for comms based on data and insights
  • Collaborates effectively with other BP leadership to ensure ongoing planning and resourcing alignment with global communications calendaring process

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Communications, Sales Management, Business Communications, or similar field(s)
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, including Employee Communications, Board member and C-Level communications and high awareness on Public Relations requirements in a publicly listed company
  • Proven track record of results in a comprehensive global communication or change communications role for C-Level members
  • Proven track record of results in leading employee communications campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze data and synthesize complex topics into simple, understandable Communication
  • Strategic thinker, strong ability to execute, fit in communications operations
  • Demonstrated ability in handling issues, crises, and business issues
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as good presentation skills
  • Ability to identify, assess, understand, and make appropriate recommendations to meet business needs
  • Experience creating effective messaging for a range of audiences
  • Problem solving skills, with specific focus on developing new, creative ways to drive communications in a changing business environment
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Good sense of humor
