Global Procurement Operations Governance Manager (REMOTE)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for developing and executing strategies to support Fresenius Medical Care North America's Supply Chain objectives. Responsible for strategic design of Procurement GBS process globally, transitioning its activities to the designated hubs and building up Source to Contract management capabilities.  Partner with Global Strategic Procurement organizations to ensure alignment of procurement strategies establish future operating model and its governance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Strategically manage transition and services delivery by utilizing a proven governance process that engages stakeholders, aligns business objectives, and ensures supply continuity.
  • Act as subject matter expert in reviewing and proposing new services to be established in captive location across global category management and country procurement organization. 
  • Develop and pressure test a detailed service delivery model foundational to establish future roles & responsibilities across global category management, country procurement organization and handoff points to GBS.
  • Gain credibility and secure high levels of internal stakeholder's buy-in to strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with Global Business process owners in the procurement area to align on Procurement Best Practices and future strategy & vision.
  • Continuously Assess and review the overall operating model, with current ticket management tools and processes which may require to be optimized for the To-Be organization.
  • Have a good understanding of Procurement related existing processes, roles, ways of working and run discovery /change management workshops in-person or virtual or hybrid.
  • Plan, design and establish knowledge transfer mechanisms or teams required as part of the overall operation scope.
  • Draft Business case with all the desired details for smooth modification in operation service with the desired outcome and present to all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate the workshops to understand the As-Is and To-Be and design road map to achieve the target state of the service delivery.
  • Close coordinating and partnering with cross functional teams for various deliverables and initiatives.
  • Guide and participate to the Governance and Reporting process at the defined cadence with all internal stakeholders.
  • Establishing and ensuring the drafting of appropriate processes to be used/followed (such as reporting, risk management, lessons learned, quality, escalating, and communications) in the target state.
  • Ensure services are delivered within the service modification planning, and that scope meet the required level of quality.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout the service delivery.
  • Effective management and governance of knowledge articles, training materials, DTP`s and support pages.
  • Representing procurement function for internal and external audit related to Procurement process for the regions.
  • Participate to the definition and establish KPI, dashboards and operational goals for measuring service level and to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent required; Advanced Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:  

  • 15+ years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years' experience; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • 5+ years' supervisory or project/program management experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience managing Business operations and programs from start to finish.
  • Exposure in working with large consulting Organization to bring new initiatives across the Organization.
  • Results driven, innovative & creative. Aligns and energizes behind common objectives, action-oriented & willing to face challenging situations.
  • Excellent understanding of Business operations model and in handling large operations with substantial team size.
  • Ability to guide, lead and coordinate with large teams while handling the transition to achieve the defined vision of the Organization and Procurement vertical.
  • Ability to develop relationships and build both a strong direct and indirect sphere of influence.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, to achieve the initiative objectives.
  • Ability to take ownership, lead and influence to deliver the desired results.
  • Ability to interpret and ground decisions on solid analytics.
  • Critical thinking and decision making: The ability to solve complex problems and think through both tangible and intangible (factors in making decisions for the company.
