As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

HR PAYROLL & OPERATIONS MANAGER ITALY (m/f/d)

HILIGHTS

Fresenius Medical Care, worldwide multinational group leader in the production and selling of medical devices (dialysis) and in the delivery of services for the treatment of renal insufficiency, is looking for a HR Payroll and Operations Manager for Italy, reporting to the Regional Cluster Manager.

The position offers an Italian permanent contract, the professional will be based in in northern Italy (Palazzo Pignano - CR), with home office days and may require up to 40% yearly travel.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Business, HR COEs and HR Shared Service Center Leadership to define, shape, drive and deliver the Italy strategy for all business lines (CDI, CE, MSC and NX Stage) and legal entities.
  • Lead the HR Operations and Payroll functions in setting a clear vision and expectations to execute the strategy.
  • Lead and deliver the management of payroll processes, both ordinary and extraordinary payments according to the different applicable legislations, ensuring the quality of the processes.
  • Own and drive all HR Operational processes including payroll - making improvements and providing the basis for a successful HR offering and service to our internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the renewal of all employee lifecycle operational processes from an employee experience perspective.
  • Provide support to Line Managers and Employees to resolve employee lifecycle administrative issues / queries, escalating to the relevant member of the Employee Relations team or manager as appropriate.
  • Management of Third Parties provider relationships (i.e. banks, payroll vendor, T&A vendor) and liaise with the payroll software providers, ensuring that all software upgrades are tested and installed correctly.
  • Maintain close collaboration and coordination with other Departments (Risk Prevention, Compensation, Finance, Labor Relations, etc.) in order to ensure good service and  appropriate decision making. 
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring that core HR processes are delivered efficiently, consistently and compliantly with internal SOPs and local law - ensuring excellent value for money and great employee experience.
  • Manage and supervise the staff under your responsibility: organize working methods/conditions, give work instructions, manage time and absences, manage conflicts, provide guidance and propose sanctions.
  • Leading the team under your responsibility: taking part in recruitment, annual development interviews, professional interviews, leading working groups, proposing career and salary development, etc."
  • Coach/Train staff for development and growth opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master Degree in Humanistic, Legal, Economics, Political Sciences or Human Resources related studies
  • +/- 5y of experience in Payroll and HR Operations roles in a fast-paced, multi-site/location environment with a large direct workforce, ideally in healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of Italian HR Administration & Payroll legislations and taxes
  • 2-3y of experience as team leader
  • Experience of working in a complex matrix environment (cross functionally and cross culturally).
  • Solid proficiency in English (C1). Italian native or equivalent.

  • An excellent communicator, both oral and written

  • Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong process and improvement mindset, constantly seeking to improve and develop processes
  • High levels of personal commitment
