As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

Position location: You will be able to work remotely from your home location, in the United States

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Supports FME’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Serve as an accessible, visible, and knowledgeable subject matter expert for compliance training and communication across FME businesses. Adheres to the FME Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and company policy requirements. Implements and monitors training for all of FME.

Collaborates with Ethics and Compliance Officers to contribute to projects related to the training and communication programs. Supports the leadership of Compliance, Head of Training and Communications and the Global Chief Compliance Officer.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure team success, ensuring alignment with broader business and regulatory objectives.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs across various compliance areas, ensuring that training materials are relevant, engaging, and tailored to regional needs.
  • Establishes a compliance culture as a strategic, competitive advantage with each training initiative executed.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of training and communication programs, leveraging feedback and data to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure that compliance training and communications remain current and impactful.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, HR, IT, Ethics, and Compliance Officers to align training strategies with organizational needs and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., Managed Care, Physician Contracting, Privacy and Security) to develop training related to new business activities, laws, and contractual obligations.
  • Design and implement internal department training strategies for compliance team members.
  • Develop, maintain, monitor and promote training programs in accordance with the Compliance Training Plan and other training initiatives all while being aligned with the Company’s values and beliefs. This includes classroom presentations, web-based courses, audio and video programs.
  • Review and update trainings to ensure continued applicability and relevance to business line/stakeholder; monitor and research new trends and developments in compliance learning, training and assessment.
  • Adapts to and reacts to the needs of a rapidly growing and changing business and understand the complexities of a large organization.
  • Monitor the administration and completion of training programs including the provision of appropriate management information in support of escalating and addressing delinquencies.
  • Provide regular training status updates for each training.
  • Develop ways to measure the effectiveness of each training.
  • Participates in the periodic review and update of the Compliance program to ensure continuing relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
  • Identifies key risk areas and works with the department to mitigate risk through education, training and policy development.
  • Evaluates and appropriately addresses the areas of risk to be delivered in each training.
  • Assists in the development of the annual compliance plans that are tailored by the Ethics and Compliance Officer for the business they support. 
  • Completes special projects and reports as needed by Compliance department leadership.
  • Leads and/or assists with department wide projects and/or workgroups.
  • Responsible for training and communication documentation that supports proof of an effective compliance program.
  • Provide timely responses to regulatory, audit and reporting requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for compliance training needs across the organization.
  • Support the development and execution of annual and multi-year compliance training and communication plans that align with company goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the Compliance and Global Communications teams for compliance training topics to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
  • Coordinate the design, delivery, and evaluation of compliance training programs, ensuring that materials are accurate, engaging, and relevant to various business units.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of training materials for new business initiatives, regulatory changes, and updated policies.
  • Develop and deliver internal compliance department training sessions and learning opportunities.
  • Monitor completion of required compliance trainings, provide reporting, and assist with follow-up on training delinquencies.
  • Assist in promoting a culture of compliance, ethics, and continuous learning through effective training and communication initiatives.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of training programs; use feedback and analytics to recommend enhancements.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and regulatory updates to ensure compliance training materials remain current.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, HR, IT, Ethics, and Compliance Officers) to align training strategies with organizational needs.
  • Maintain documentation supporting an effective compliance training program.
  • Participate and/or lead departmental projects and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Compliance Program.
  • Support responses to audits, regulatory inquiries, and reporting requests.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced Degree/professional certification preferred. 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5-8  years’ experience in healthcare and/or compliance or an advanced degree without experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience creating and delivering training materials in multiple formats (instructor led, e-learning modules, audio/video etc.), as well as creating and managing all corresponding reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations and/or training methodologies.
  • Knowledge of dialysis, medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
  • Healthcare compliance experience a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, working with both internal and external individuals and entities.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of senior management personnel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools and platforms is preferred.
