As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
In collaboration with Clinical Services Initiatives management team and in partnership with other Clinical Services staff members, implements programs and services that produce measurable improvements in processes and practices. Supports strategic and operational plans that build upon the present Clinical Initiatives Program. Manages the implementation of the pertinent program as assigned while acting as subject matter expert. Supports the implementation and coordination of Clinical Services Initiatives programs. Participates in developing a culture of innovation, as well as in identifying opportunities and initiatives to enhance the Clinical Initiatives department strategic alignment with organization and Medical Office initiatives. Supports strategic and operational plans that build upon the present Clinical Initiatives Program to ensure continued innovation and world renown approaches to Clinical Services Initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to ensure the effective delivery of quality patient care, and enhanced patient outcome ensuring the Medical Quality Agenda achievement of FKC Quality Standards, throughout the organization.
- Facilitates clinical initiatives as determined by Leadership and aligned with the Medical Quality Agenda.
- Provides overall support to the Managers within Clinical Initiatives regarding all pertinent activities and issues relating to clinical quality. Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the form of the annual performance evaluation.
- Conducts site visits to review clinical practice as necessary.
- Collaborates with field, Clinical Service and other departmental personnel to effectively meet clinical and operational company goals.
- Utilizes knowledge regarding technology and the operation of equipment to assist Clinical Services Initiatives team in developing procedures and implementing and communicating new initiatives to the field.
- The position and department will participate in the development CS Initiatives to provide FHP/FKC stakeholders with actionable information on the development of current and potential future clinical interventions for beneficiaries enrolled in value based plans like ESRD Seamless Care Organizations (ESCOs), Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans and other risk bearing arrangements.
- May oversee pharmacy initiatives related to facility operation efforts through subordinates to ensure pharmacy achievement of pharmacy related goals
- Participates in the evaluation of and modifications to the information systems.
- Supports the broad activities of the business unit(s) through the interpretation, application and implementation of company-wide policies and processes appropriate to the functional area(s).
- Maintains expertise on Fresenius Kidney Care structure, policies, procedures regulations etc. in order to provide leadership, guidance and direction to drive initiatives through the organization and responds to numerous questions, events and unforeseen problems coming from all avenues of the organization.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Addendum – Manager, Clinical Deployments
This role supports the successful implementation of enterprise clinical initiatives across diverse care environments. Reporting into the Clinical Initiatives leadership team, the Manager is responsible for coordinating deployment activities, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and ensuring initiatives are executed consistently with measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of clinical deployments in through coordination among Nursing & Clinical Services, Operations, ITS, Global Medical Office, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate readiness tasks, maintain deployment documentation, and track key milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor progress, escalate risks, and help resolve barriers to keep implementations on track.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders through regular updates and deployment tools.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement by identifying ways to streamline execution and strengthen team collaboration.
- Act as a liaison to field teams, reinforcing change management and supporting local adoption efforts.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 5 years of Dialysis/Nephrology experience.
- Exemplary Customer Service

- Proficient in Microsoft Office365 applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- Project or case management experience preferred, yet not required.
- Must exhibit leadership skills and be able to collaborate with clinic staff.
- Understanding of renal disease process and current management practices.
- Proven organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication is necessary.
- Excellent and professional telephone skills.
- Ability to function as a part of an integrated team.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff, and other disciplines.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to plan a diversity of activities, and work independently.
- Able to follow oral and written communication, as well as communicate information to individuals or groups with varying levels of education.
