As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Your Responsibilities:

Primary Purpose

Responsible to conduct end-to-end sourcing activities since requirements data gathering until implementation of contracted conditions in the different IT Systems, business, countries. Requires fluent communication with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues from Procurement and other Functions and understanding of business objectives in order to achieve the best outcome. Follows legal regulatory requirements and FME Policies and standards.

Activities include and it’s not limited to conduct request for quotations/proposals/information and/or tenders, negotiate contract terms and conditions, elaborate contracts, implement contracts in systems, suppliers’ scouting, create suppliers in systems, supplier relationship management, suppliers’ escalation management, business case creation, calculation of savings and reporting, etc.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Strategic Category Management – Electronic Components

  • Provide expert inputs to Category Management on electronic components strategies, with a strong focus on supply assurance, risk mitigation, and cost optimization in a volatile semiconductor and passive components market.
  • Support the execution of category strategies, prioritizing dual-sourcing, strategic buffering, and long-term agreements with key manufacturers and distributors.

Supplier Relationship Management (Electronic Component Manufacturers & Distributors)

  • Conduct targeted supplier scouting and market intelligence activities to identify new or alternative electronic component manufacturers and distributors (franchised and independent).
  • Evaluate financial stability, technical capabilities, quality systems, and supply chain resilience of suppliers; execute thorough due diligence and manage supplier risks.
  • Optimize the number of suppliers within the electronic components scope to balance risk, cost, and service levels.
  • Proactively resolve quality, supply constraints, obsolescence, and allocation issues through diligent escalation and cross-functional collaboration with Business Units, Quality, Engineering, GBS, and Category Teams.
  • Lead supplier relationship management for a defined portfolio of electronic component manufacturers and distributors, including regular performance reviews and joint improvement programs.
  • Complete supplier scorecards and prepare comprehensive data for business review meetings.

Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Ensure business requirements (forecasts, technical specifications, qualification needs) are clear and complete before initiating tenders or purchasing activities for electronic components.
  • Analyze supplier proposals using price benchmarking, should-cost modelling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lead-time analysis, and total supply risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define robust negotiation strategies, setting clear targets for cost savings, payment terms, capacity allocation, and risk-sharing mechanisms.
  • Lead price, volume, contract terms, and service-level negotiations with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Generate and present fact-based supplier selection recommendations, including detailed quote comparisons, risk assessments, and business impact analysis to drive transparent decision-making.
  • Ensure complete and compliant documentation of all tendering and contracting activities (RFQs, contracts, comparison matrices, decision protocols, etc.) per company standards.
  • Document and report sourcing project status and outcomes as required.

Escalation & Supply Constraint Management

  • Act as the primary escalation point for electronic component supply constraints, shortages, allocation issues, and obsolescence events; drive rapid resolution and recovery plans.
  • Monitor global supply market dynamics (semiconductor cycles, geopolitical risks, capacity constraints) and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Ways of Working & Tools

  • Champion the use of digital tools and technologies for sourcing events, including eSourcing platforms, Contract Lifecycle Management, Spend Analytics, Ariba, SAP, AI-powered market intelligence, and others. Leverage eAuctions and competitive bidding where appropriate.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and strictly adhere to Fresenius Medical Policies, Standards, Processes, and Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and execute opportunities to optimize spend, reduce costs, mitigate supply risks, improve service levels, drive innovation, and secure long-term supply continuity for electronic components.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to suppliers’ business reviews.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, business administration, Finance or Engineering, required
  • +5 years of experience in procurement of electronic components, including purchasing and/or category management and/or contract life cycle management processes
  • +3 years worked in a multinational environment and global position
  • Certifications (advantageous): Procurement/Supply Chain, Project Management, Commercial Law
  • Experience: Project management, continuous improvement, healthcare sector exposure (advantage)
  • Result‑oriented, detail‑focused, integrity, resilience, adaptability
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving, excellent organization, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Stakeholder engagement: Comfortable influencing, networking, and building relationships across functions
  • Agile in ambiguity, able to prioritize competing initiatives, continuous improvement mindset
  • Flexible work arrangement - preferably for Candidate to be based in Penang
  • Occasional travelling regionally
