As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports engineering and operations in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of various control systems. Performs current state analysis, documents gaps against desired future states, defines new or improved processes, and works with management to determine feasibility of solution opportunities. Documents and communicates project plans and process workflows as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports engineering and operations in the design, installation, troubleshooting and service of various systems: to include the replacement of failed components and the development of others’ abilities to service the various controls systems.
  • Participates in project teams with a focus to ensure projects are completed both on time and within budget.
  • Recommends enhancements to current business practices to effectively integrate automation/process re-designs, while ensuring compliance with generally accepted FDA and cGMP standards.
  • Lead change agent and the deployment leader for automation/process improvement efforts in order to drive the overall effectiveness of the operation and to deliver quality improvement and financial benefits. Participates on and lead cross-departmental project teams.
  • Conducts feasibility, cost/benefit analysis, and ROI analysis on proposed solutions. Analyzes systems, procedures, policies, and workflows for process, productivity, and cost improvement opportunities and propose detailed plans for solutions.
  • Documents findings and complete formal project reviews and manage the implementation of solutions.
  • Participates in project teams from inception through implementation. Develops project charters and maintain open communication with management regarding project status and opportunities.
  • Manages multiple projects in a manufacturing environment with scope varying from the maintenance of existing machines to the specification, purchase, and validation of new equipment.
  • Interfaces with planning and maintenance departments to optimize and ensure efficient production.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of working area and support areas that provide plant utilities.
  • May provide assistance to junior level staff with general tasks that require a better understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • May refer to senior level staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and corrected 20/20 vision.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:      

  • 2 – 5 years’ related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification desirable.
  • Strong problem solving skills with strong customer focus.
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team to complete projects. Multi-disciplined engineering experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, computer, etc.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Database software, Design software, Internet software, Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
