OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and compliance of multiple clinics within the assigned area. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, financial performance, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
This position provides leadership, direction and governance to General Unit Heads, ensuring alignment with FME Global Standards, business objectives, and continuous improvement across all assigned clinics.
Additionally, the Area Manager promotes the Company’s core values while sustaining high levels of morale, engagement, and performance among clinical and operational personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial
1. Supports the CDI Managing Director in achieving country KPIs (e.g. treatment numbers and frequencies, revenue, patients, profitability, DSO, FTEs, etc.).
2. Develops and sustains standardized and itemized treatment protocols, ensuring consistent implementation across all clinics.
3. Drives operational efficiency through process standardization, cost optimization, and adherence to consumption standards (e.g., Econ and treatment protocols) and maximizing resources (e.g., deployment of correct machines and FTEs)
4. Conducts regular performance reviews and addresses variance through appropriate actions plans.
5. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support seamless operations.
Patients/Customers
1. Ensures clinic compliance with monthly CQI reporting requirements
2. Facilitates accurate and timely Euclid reporting across all clinics
3. Monitors and drives patient satisfaction scores (NPS) within acceptable targets
4. Manages and resolves patients concerns escalated beyond the General Unit Head level
5. Supports CEQ initiatives and programs.
Operational
1. Implements operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Senior Area Head of Operations and support functions.
2. Oversee General Unit Heads in managing day-to-day clinic operations.
3. Ensures all clinics maintain complete and valid regulatory compliance including timely renewal of licenses, permits (e.g. DOH, PhilHealth, DOLE, DENR, BIR Compliance, etc.)
4. Sets clear performance objectives for General Unit Heads and ensure accountability
Leadership and People Management
1. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to General Unit Heads
2. Develop and strengthen leadership pipeline and succession plans
3. Promote employee engagement, retention, and high-performance culture
4. Manage employee relations concerns and conflict resolutions in coordination with HR Country Partner and Employee Relations to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Quality, Legal Compliance and Risk Management
1. Ensure full compliance with:
• FME Policies, standards, and compliance framework
• Local regulatory requirements (DOH, DOLE, PhilHealth, DENR, BIR etc.,)
2. Oversee implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards
3. Ensure completeness and timeliness of all required reports and documentations
4. Identify operational risks and implement mitigations plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration /Management, Nursing, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage, but not required
Experience
- At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in healthcare or multi-site operations
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role managing multiple units or teams
- Proven track record in operations management, financial performance, and people leadership
