System Testing Engineer - Automation

In your role as Senior System Testing Engineer - Automation you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and resolving any issues with assigned systems of responsibility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies risk-based procedures throughout the product development process and the product life cycle
  • Authors testing plans, engineering test reports, and position and/or white papers using good documentation practices
  • Analyzes component, software, and system requirements to develop, edit, and update test plans, protocols, and reports for multiple projects following the appropriate design control process
  • Identifies, creates, validates, and uses test methods that facilitate data gathering and test method execution
  • Specifies, develops, implements, validates, and deploys effective test automation solutions and custom equipment to support the broader goal of designing and developing products that meet user inputs and are aligned to business and marketing strategies intended to generate revenue and growth.
  • Provide assistance to the manufacturing in establishing product fabrication facilities and procedures as part of Design Transfer.  Provides technical support to other departments as assigned
  • Understands defect management and works closely with design engineers to achieve defect resolution
  • Successfully completed technical studies in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • Computer Science or IT related degrees demonstrate an understanding of principles, theories and concepts in the scientific or engineering discipline: Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related fields
  • Familiar with and follows Design Control principles and regulations in product development
  • Experience with Python, scripting for data acquisition and processing (C, C++, and Ruby experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of TMT, EXAM, Robot Framework, and Squish is preferred
  • Experienced in building experimental test fixtures using LabView
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team or individually with supervision
  • Fluent in English, in written and spoken.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering or scientific discipline required; Advanced Degree desirable

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:        

  • 5 – 8 years’ related experience;
  • Master’s degree with >3 years’ related experience;
  • PhD without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
