About the role:

The Medical Affairs Manager will be responsible for executing high quality scientific activities in accordance with the medical strategies for the company’s portfolio. Responsibilities will span across data dissemination, maintaining relationships with key partners, contribution to therapy and brand strategy by supporting cross-functional global, regional, and teams.

Main tasks:

  • Responsible for providing fair-balanced, objective, high quality scientific/clinical information, educational materials and scientific presentations to external and internal
    • External stakeholders: healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations (HCOs), etc.
    • Internal stakeholders: Marketing, Sales, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Medical Information & Education, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global and regional Medical Affairs and Commercial teams
  • Design, manage and support the execution of medical advisory boards, symposia, and other educational events
  • Work with country FME teams to identify international, regional, and national medical and scientific experts and/or HCOs
    • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with medical and scientific expert and/or HCOs
  • Develops and supports MSL scientific strategies for KOL interactions
    • Identify and provide training/education to MSLs
    • Identify, develop and monitor effectiveness of new tools/resources for MSLs
    • Collaborate with the MSLs to gather and analyze insights from the field
  • Attend key medical conferences (international, regional, and/or local)
    • Share educational highlights and insights gathered
  • Stay up to date in the therapeutic area and product knowledge (including competitors)
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise in assessing and interpreting publications and data
  • Translate scientific knowledge to support medical and commercial activities with the business partners
  • Assist in other duties and/or projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Provide Medical Affairs support in countries where MSL support is limited or not available
    • In-person (or virtual) Medical presentations
    • In-person (or virtual) peer-to-peer medical interactions with HCPs and/or HCOs
    • Internal Sales and Marketing training support

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in scientific or natural sciences field, e.g. biochemistry, medicine or related is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience required for the successful performance of the function  
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, pharmaceutical and/or MedTech company 
  • Experience in Medical Affairs  
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with external and internal stakeholders across different cultures and countries
  • Strategic, forward thinking, and project management mindset 
  • Must be self-motivated in working independently
  • Proficient in leading individual and team projects
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex scientific information for diverse audiences
  • Business fluent in English, knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
  • MS Office, MS SharePoint, experience with remote working, e.g. via TEAMS, Zoom, etc.,experience with additional database platforms is an advantage
