As a Clinic Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you’ll manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. More importantly, you’ll be the key driver in carrying out our mission: To deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day, setting the standard by which others in the health care industry are judged. This is accomplished by hiring, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes and monitoring regulatory and safety requirements. Strong management skills are required and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.

Fresenius Medical Care nurses are on the front line of patient care, improving the quality of life of every patient, every day. That means providing dialysis care to 10-12 patients at any given time, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unique care plan to each one of them. This role is all about relationships and the bond you’ll create with patients and their families. Prior dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but many successful candidates come from a background in ICU, PCU and/or surgery.

Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care perform dialysis treatments on an acute patient population in a hospital setting, including ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. What makes this role truly unique is the level of autonomy you’ll enjoy. Inpatient nurses are specifically accountable for administering and assessing each patient’s treatment plan. And because dialysis is a critical treatment for many hospital procedures and health conditions, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and independence needed to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be capable of educating patients and providing exceptional customer service to our partners. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or some form of critical care nursing experience are also required.

Within our Care Enablement function, our Therapy Specialist Nurses play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals through education, clinical leadership and service development. We are now seeking an experienced and inspiring leader to lead our Critical Care Therapy Specialist Nurse team across the UK & Ireland.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Nursing, you will provide leadership, direction and support to a team of Therapy Specialist Nurses delivering clinical expertise, education and customer support across our Critical Care portfolio.

This is a strategic leadership role combining people management, clinical excellence and business partnership. Working closely with leaders across Clinical, Commercial and Product Management, you will help shape strategy, drive clinical excellence, support business growth and ensure the successful delivery of customer-focused solutions across the Critical Care portfolio.

You will act as a trusted clinical leader, developing both your team and customer relationships while helping shape the future direction of our Critical Care business.

Location: Field based, UK & Ireland

Reporting to: Head of Nursing, Care Enablement UK & Ireland

Travel: Regular travel across the UK & Ireland with occasional international travel

This role is full time, 37.5hrs a week, working variable hours, Monday to Friday.

This is a field-based role where extensive travel will be required; therefore, you must hold a valid, full UK driving licence. Our head office is based in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of Therapy Specialist Nurses across the UK & Ireland.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance management to support individual and team success.
  • Act as the senior clinical lead for Critical Care therapies within Care Enablement.
  • Support complex customer implementations, evaluations and service improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Critical Care clinicians, nursing leaders and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Management, Medical Affairs and Technical Operations teams to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Support the delivery of clinical education and training programmes for healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to tender responses, strategic account development and business planning activities.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and support clinical research, publications and educational initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC requirements, company policies and regulatory standards.

We're looking for a credible nursing leader with a passion for developing people and advancing clinical excellence.

About You, you will:

  • Be a registered nurse with current NMC/NMBI registration.
  • Have significant Critical Care nursing experience.
  • Have demonstrable leadership and people management experience.
  • Have experience delivering education and training to healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have the skills necessary to work collaboratively across clinical, commercial and operational teams.
  • Full, UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland with occasional international travel.
